From Beijing to Shanghai: Benelux Chamber Joins Luxembourg's Official Trade Mission to China

From 20 to 24 September 2026, Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SME, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, led an official trade mission to China, accompanied by a record number of participating companies. Organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the mission visited Shanghai and Hangzhou to strengthen economic ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

Representing the Benelux Chamber of Commerce North China | Beijing, President Antoine Bruneel joined the delegation in Shanghai alongside colleagues from the Benelux Chamber of Commerce East China | Shanghai, including Chairman Philippe Snel and General Manager Jonathan Xu.

On 23 September, an official reception brought together the Luxembourg and wider Benelux business communities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Consulate General of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office (LTIO) in Shanghai.

The reception took place in the presence of Minister Lex Delles and Fernand Ernster, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, providing an opportunity for business representatives and partners to reconnect.

Earlier that day, the Shanghai-Luxembourg Business Seminar, co-organized by CCPIT Shanghai and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, welcomed more than 180 participants. The seminar highlighted opportunities for cooperation in areas such as mobility, logistics and clean technologies.

For Benelux Chamber North China, the gathering was an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from the Shanghai Chapter and strengthen relationships within the wider Benelux-China business network.

The Chamber would like to thank the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce East China | Shanghai, and everyone involved in bringing the community together.
