Belgian charm in Northern China.

As China and Belgium celebrate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026, a unique cultural initiative is bringing a taste of Belgium to China.

As part of the China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair, "Le Village Belge Saveurs de Wallonie" brought a true Belgian town to China for two weeks, complete with authentic Belgian food, culture, and art.

At the initiative of Benelux Chamber Board Member Liangchen Qu and in collaboration with the Wallonia Region, visitors enjoyed Belgian specialties such as beer, waffles, fries, and chocolate, while experiencing the work of Belgian artist Michel Leonardi.

The attendance and support of Belgian Ambassador Bruno Angelet, Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) representative Didier DENAYER, Benelux Chamber President Antoine Bruneel and Vice President Pierre Mirochnikoff highlights how cultural exchanges continue to complement the strong economic, trade, and investment ties that have connected China and Belgium for more than five decades.

More than a festival, Le Village Belge is a celebration of 55 years of friendship, exchange, and partnership between China and Belgium.
