Belgian Deputy PM Maxime Prévot visits China and meets with the Benelux Chamber

Belgian Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot completed a visit of China and Hong Kong last week. His 5-day journey consisted of diplomatic talks with the Vice Premier of China He Lifeng, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, while also making visits to Belgian and Chinese companies.

At the Belgian Embassy in Beijing, he met with Benelux Chamber President Antoine Bruneel and other China experts to discuss the current Belgium-China economic environment and the opportunities and challenges ahead. We thank Minister Prévot for his open mind and pragmatic approach.

Through our president, The Benelux Chamber of Commerce North China was pleased to share the perspective of our members. Belgium and China have many areas where practical cooperation can still create value, from logistics and innovation to clean energy, advanced manufacturing, investment and cultural exchange.
In today’s complex world, dialogue and pragmatism are more important than ever.
