Benelux Chamber meets with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade

On April 1, a delegation led by our Vice President Pierre Mirochnikoff held talks with Zhu Jialiang, Vice Chairman of the Beijing China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views focused on strengthening communication and ties, as well as deepening pragmatic cooperation in trade and economics. The Benelux Chamber of Commerce looks forward to joining hands with the Beijing CCPIT to jointly establish platforms for trade in sectors such as new energy, digital trade, agricultural technology, and green finance. Our enforces our role as a vital bridge and link in international relations for the facilitation of mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises in Beijing and the Benelux region.

Vice Chairman Zhu Jialiang extended a warm welcome to the Chamber’s delegation, noting the vast potential for cooperation between Beijing and the Benelux region. The Beijing CCPIT can assist in promoting Beijing-based enterprises seeking to engage in trade and economic cooperation within the Benelux region, while also providing information regarding local policies, market conditions, and the business environment for Benelux enterprises. Vice Chairman Zhu Jialiang advocated for advancing pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in fields such as technology, agriculture, culture and tourism, as well as jointly exploring opportunities for collaboration in emerging sectors—including digital technology, new energy, and cross-border e-commerce. He would like to extend a cordial invitation to trade organizations and enterprises from the Benelux region to participate in key trade and economic events hosted by Beijing, such as the Beijing China International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC), the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), and the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).
