Chinese Premier Li Keqiang to visit the Netherlands

The Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang will, together with his wife Mrs. Cheng Hong and a delegation of Ministers, visit the Netherlands from October 14 to 16. During his visit the Premier and his wife will be received by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima. In addition, Premier Li Keqiang will meet with Prime Minister Rutte and several Dutch Ministers and attend a Business Forum.

The visit will take place on the eve of the Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) on October 18 and 19 in Brussels and will be held in light of the good bilateral and economic relations between the Netherlands and China. The Chinese Premier will be joined by a trade delegation in addition to various Ministers.

On Monday morning October 15 Premier Li Keqiang will be received by Prime Minister Rutte. The meeting will start with a welcome ceremony at the Binnenhof, followed by a working lunch which will be attended by both Dutch and Chinese guests who represent the extensive relationship between the Netherlands and China. In the early evening the Chinese Premier and his wife will be received by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima at Palace Noordeinde.

On Tuesday October 16 Premier Li Keqiang will meet the Presidents of the First and Second Chambers of Parliament. Afterwards he will leave for the 'Gemeente Museum' to participate in the China-Dutch Business Forum; the theme of which will concern Cooperation on High-Tech Innovation and Sustainable Connectivity. After the opening by Minister Kaag of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation the Prime Minister and Premier will give a speech.

Visit the Netherlands from October 14 to 16
