Dear Members, Partners and Friends of BenCham,

On behalf of the board of directors of the chamber, I wish to inform you of the decision of our General Manager to leave BenCham, effective February 29th.

Robbert Gorris has contributed to the Beijing chapter of BenCham over the last 6 years. He has been our General Manager since 2012.

The board hereby would like to thank Robbert for his dedication and numerous contributions. He can be proud to leave on a high note since 2015 was indeed a year of many successes for BenCham.

The board has decided to appoint Mr Peter Pronk, who currently serves both on our board and executive board, as General Manager ad interim. He will support and supervise the team on a part-time basis, effective immediately and until a replacement has been recruited to fill the vacant position.

I also wish to thank our board for their continuous support and renewed commitment, as well as all of you, our Members, Partners and Friends, for whom we exist!

Kind regards,

Pierre Eloy

President of the Board

Robbert Gorris

Dear Members, Partners and Friends of BenCham,

This January, I was able to look back on more than 6 years of working at BenCham Beijing. I have enjoyed this time very much. I remember my first encounter with BenCham during the "2008 BenCham goes Green Gala Ball” very well. In November 2009, I was first hired as Project Manager for the CSR project for the Dutch Embassy and the EU Switch Asia project in our small office in Sanyuanli. During the last 3 years, I have been the General Manager.

I really enjoyed my many encounters with BenCham’s member network, the numerous events, gala balls and the countless discussions on doing business in China. I have always tried, to the best of my ability, to build valuable connections for our members that benefit their businesses.  I want to thank you for sharing your successes and challenges with me, as I was only able to do my work with the openness of the members.

I would also like to thank, each and every member, the board, sponsors, stakeholders and any person that has added value to the chamber over the past years.

BenCham is there because of the network and for the network. Therefore, I can only ask you to keep sharing as in the end, we all need some help in doing business in China.

Appointed by the board as General Manager ad interim, Mr Peter Pronk (gm-bj@bencham.org) will support and supervise the team on a part-time basis until a replacement has been recruited to fill the vacant position.
