Vandergeeten China Expands Portfolio with new low-abv Delirium Beer

Vandergeeten China, a distributor of imported European confectionery and beverages, has introduced a new non-alcoholic beer from Belgium's Huyghe Brewery to the Chinese market.

Established in 1994, our member Vandergeeten China operates offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The company specializes in importing and distributing European confectionery products, particularly Belgian chocolates and biscuits, as well as a range of Belgian beers and spirits. Its portfolio includes well-known Belgian beer brands such as Chimay, Rochefort, Westmalle, Lindemans, Bush and Delirium.

The Delirium brand is produced by Huyghe Brewery, located in Melle, East Flanders, Belgium. Founded by Leon Huyghe in 1906, the brewery traces its brewing heritage to a site where beer production has been documented since 1654. Delirium is internationally recognized for its distinctive pink elephant logo and characteristic grey bottle, designed to help protect the beer from light exposure.

The latest addition to the Delirium range is **Delirium Delirio** (33cl, 0.3% ABV), a low-ABV blonde beer. Though it will not make you “see pink elephants”,  this delightful beer has a light golden color with a fine foam head and features subtle malt aromas complemented by spicy and fruity notes. According to the brewery, the beer offers a rounded, full-bodied flavor profile with a fruity and lightly hoppy finish.

The launch reflects the growing presence of low- and no-alcohol beer options within the international beer market, as brewers continue to expand offerings aimed at consumers seeking alternatives to traditional alcoholic beverages.
