This week a Ministerial visit is taking place to China involving Luxembourg's Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, Francois Bausch, and the Secretary of State for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, Camille Gira, who are in both Beijing and Zhengzhou, capital of central Henan Province.

Since 1953, the Chinese government has made development plans every five years. Now it is approaching the 13th, covering the crucial period of 2016-2020, by the end of which China is expected to achieve moderate prosperity.

In the first half of 2016, the Netherlands will hold the Presidency of the European Union for the 12th time. The previous Dutch Presidency was in 2004. The EU Presidency meetings in the Netherlands will all take place at Amsterdam’s historical naval dockyard, the Marine Etablissement. These are meetings of ministers and civil servants from all the EU member states.
